Collection: Heirloom broccoli

Broccoli is a very easy crop to grow. It likes the cooler times of year.  We recommend planting every few weeks from mid January thru August in the southern states. And March thru August in the northern tier of the country

We also strongly recommend picking a few varieties to put in your line up

Broccoli is a good candidate for succession planting
Broccoli is very hardy and fairly easy to grow with the proper care. Can be planted from Feburary to September in most climates,
(unless in a colder climate)
The bigger headed varieties after harvesting the head will produce multiple side-shoots.
Seeds should be covered a 1/4 inch of soil, for transplanting purposes you could do blanket seeding because broccoli will tolerate roots being handled during transplanting.
Will take anywhere 4-7 days to germinate.
1 & 1/2 foot spacing between plants for the bigger headed varieties.
from seed to harvest approx. 80 days for bigger headed varieties.

**Please Note: Harvest all broccoli seeds before a major frost**
