Not only that, carrots are more than just your basic orange, they also come in a rainbow of colours, the meanings of each colour are:

Purple: Dark purple outside, often orange inside, with an earthy flavor

Yellow: Bright yellow with a mild, slightly sweet taste

White: Creamy white, less earthy, mild flavor

Rainbow Blends: Mixes of various colors for vibrant dishes.

Carrots are cold-tolerant and can be succession planted almost all year round anywhere in the US.
When it comes to planting carrot seeds there are 3 very things that are very tricky that you need to keep in mind.
1: Spacing- space your seeds 4 inches apart in any direction.
2: Carrots take about 14 days to germinate and it's essential that you keep the seedbed moist.
3: Barely cover your seeds, you only need to plant only 1/4 an inch into the soil.
**Please Note: As the seeds are not very deep into the soil, care must be taken when it comes to watering as you don't want to wash the seeds away by using too much water pressure.
When it comes to harvesting it's a good idea to water the day before because the soil will be softer which makes harvesting easier**
