And from Jan thru October in the southern areas

Here's a really easy way to get lots of cabbage transplants  go to one of your empty raised beds and really over seed it as in a ounce or two seed in a raised bed. Cover with soil and water and put frost protection over it and in 6 to 8 weeks you have transplants cabbage doesn't mind having there roots disturbed most transplants will allow for bare root transplants

 Good luck growing

Cabbage is cold tolerant which means cabbage will germinate in cooler weather.
Cabbage is a good seed for blanket seeding, so it's okay to plant them close together because they're not fussy about having their roots messed with.
When it comes planting, cabbage seeds need to be planted at least 1/4 of an inch into the soil and you can expect germination in 5-7 days.
