Charleston Wakefield Cabbage
Charleston Wakefield Cabbage
Charleston Wakefield Cabbage takes 80 days to mature from seed to harvest. This Heirloom variety has been around since the 1900s. They make 4 to 6 pound heads that are cone shaped and will grow in any climate any soil. This is a tried and true, Heirloom and Non-GMO, cabbage that's very hardy.
A sweet and delicious, high-quality cabbage with a delicate, tender flavor. This variety has been grown in the sun-hardened country gardens as a low-maintenance, easy to grow variety for both farm-fresh or frozen. It is great for vegetables such as reds (cabbage) seeds that are crisp yet tender when cooked on fire but also very tender on the skins. The dark green leaves are richly colored to produce a crunchy texture when cooked to perfection while the bright red flowers open at the end of cooking time making this an all season cabbage for your garden!
