This white beet has been around since the 1400s, maybe before. It's easy to grow and cold tolerant. It takes about 50 to 60 days, and 30 to 40 for smaller salad beets. These have a sweet flavor and are good for frying, canning, or eating fresh. You will not be disappointed! With this one, it's rumored that George Washington grew and used it as a parent stock for cross breeding.
A classic beet. A delicious beet with a very nice texture and an intense flavor of dark, creamy white Alba. With its fresh aroma of sweet cinnamon, it is a perfect choice for a fall treat or a simple salad. This variety will add some flavor to your salads in the summertime season!
