Homestead Heirloom tomato, this variety of heirloom tomato produces firm, meaty tomatoes.
This variety is an old-time favourite and was developed by the University Of Florida in 1954.
Homestead Heirloom Tomatoes are open-pollinated, non-gmo tomatoes and are especially heat-tolerant.
***Planting Instructions***
The best method to plant these seeds would be to begin indoors with a minimum of 4-6 weeks before you intend to plant outside.
Once conditions are favourable (these seeds cannot be transplanted if the weather is still too cold), you can transplant these seedlings outdoors.
Keep in mind however, that tomato plants produce heavy fruits and will require some form of support to keep the plant upright.
Plant tomato seeds at a depth of 1/4th of an inch into the soil at 2 inches apart. You can also plant in rows, the rows need to be at least 3-4 inches apart.
Homestead heirloom tomatoes take roughly 80 days to reach maturity.
