Ternopolskii 14 is a Ukrainian bright leaf variety developed by the Ternopol seed station in Ukraine. It has a columnar plant form and grows to a height of 8' producing 24-25 leaves per plant. Suckering is very low and the plants have complex resistance to disease. The light green leaves average 12"-14" in width and 24" in length, and start to ripen as the plant reaches maturity in about 65 days. Best if primed in 3 pickings for the highest quality leaf. Ternopolskii 14 has high yields and air cures easily to a bright yellow or golden brown. It has a mild flavor with a nicotine content of 1.2% and is excellent for use in cigarettes or pipe blends.
