Stolac 17 was imported to the US from Yugoslavia and was donated to the USDA seed bank in 1978. This is a little known Bright Leaf variety that grows to 7 feet in height and produces a large heavy weight leaf. It is a vigorous grower that matures in 65-70 days. It has a low nicotine content and mild flavor similar to Virginia Golds.
