Red Cayenne Pepper is one of the well known hot peppers there are. It's grown to be dried, ground, and put into braids most times. It is a well known garden, Non-GMO, Heirloom favorite as well. We gardener folks know it's wonderful to grow and eat fresh. The peppers are long and skinny and turn bright red when ripe. The Red Cayenne matures fairly quick for a hot pepper--around 70 days. This is really good news for all our northern gardener and small farmer friends. We do recommend starting in trays indoors about 5 to 8 weeks before planting outside. If you have trouble growing hot peppers, add this one to your list. It's easy to grow, and as with most Heirlooms ,it's not super picky. How much seed to get: figure 10 plants for a small family and to our farmers market friends about 25 plants per market. Happy growing!!!
