Red Burgundy Onion

The Red Burgundy Heirloom onion is a day neutral onion. As with most onions, these are cold tolerant. The maturity date is 60 days for smaller onions and about 100 days for larger, full sized onions. This variety is a medium storage life onion. We sell it in packs up to bulk Heirloom seed. All our onions are Heirloom and Non-GMO. 

Red Burgundi is a very nutritious and low-calorie onion. It has a very high protein content making it a great source of fibre. The seeds are used for cooking vegetables such as carrots in salads or to cook onions. These seeds have been known to be good sources of fibre. They can also serve as an ingredient in soups, chutneys etc.. A tasty and healthy ingredient that you’ll love serving with your favourite gravy as well!
