Hello all this is a classic Italian variety of purple artichoke it's all heirloom open pollinated non GMO 

 You will get 3 to 8 artichokes per plant will come back year after year in mild climates you will have to replant every spring in zones 2 thru 6.   

 The artichoke is huge flower bud if you forget to harvest all of them.  They will bloom into a very striking flower
