Pink bachelor buttons

Pink bachelor buttons are not the only colour available of these truly pretty flowers. They come in many shades of pink, blue, purple, white and sometimes almost black. Bachelor buttons are often referred to as cornflowers and they have an added bonus of being edible and they are great for making teas with.

Once established, bachelor buttons will sprout in the same spot year after year.

In addition, bachelor buttons produce copious seeds which attract small birds.

***Planting Instructions***

Plant bachelor seeds in the fall if you intend to have a spring bloom. Alternatively you can also plant in early spring 2-3 weeks before the last frost.

Grow bachelor buttons in full sun, but they also need partial shade, but not too shady as they won't stand up. On the flip side, these flowers will burn up if the temperature gets too hot.

These plants will do fine in most types of soil.
