Nan Ling Cutting celery, often simply referred to as Chinese celery, is an Asian variety with a soft, sweet flavour. Cutting celery is synonymous with numerous Chinese dishes, as a descendant of wild celery it has been cultivated in China since at least the Han Dynasty, dating around 200 BCE-200 CE.
***Planting Instructions***
This celery plant thrives in colder climates but bear in mind that it is not cold tolerant and it requires soil that has consistent moisture.
Start indoors 10-12 weeks before last frost date. Sow seeds ¼” deep in seed starting mix. Harden off and transplant after last spring frost.
Germination takes roughly 14-21 days and these plants reach maturity anywhere between 55-60 days.
