Mixed color lupine

Lupins truly are a cottage garden flower. They come in an abundance of stunning colours, sometimes with two shades of a single colour and contrasting bi-colours. These beautiful, tall spikey blooms will undoubtedly brighten up your garden throughout the months of May and June.

A word of warning: These flowers are harmful when eaten.

Lupins make great companion flowers for sunflowers, marigolds, daises and alyssum which makes your garden truly a work of art with such flashes of colour all over your garden. 
These flowers are known to attract beneficial insects such as ladybirds.

***Planting Instructions***
Lupins do not take kindly of they are chopped back too far after flowering as they can take months to recover. 
These plants need full sun but can also thrive in lightly shaded areas and do well in most types of well-drained soil.
Lupins can take up to 60 days to germinate. 
When starting these seeds indoors, for best results, soaking these seeds overnight beforehand is highly recommended.
