Tithonia ratundifolia, otherwise known as Mexican Sunflower blooms bright red  flowers in late summer into early autumn.
The mexican sunflower is a great flower to use to add height to your garden displays.this a vining plant not like regular sunflowers it's not technically a a sunflower

When it comes to planting Mexican Sunflower, the best time to plant is in mid to late spring after all danger of frost has passed.
These flowers prefer sunny spots in youe garden and they also need well-drained soil in order to thrive.
