Little Gem Lettuce

This Little Gem is really the gem of the lettuce world. They look like a mini-Romaine but are crispy and tight heads. These will grow in all the seasons except the dead middle of summer in really hot areas. If you are only going to grow one leaf lettuce, then you need to grow this one! This variety is Heirloom, all the way Non-GMO, and ready to grow. 

Little Gem Lettuce is a high-quality variety that has been carefully selected for its bright red colour and green-yellowish flesh. It can be used as an ingredient in salads or simply eaten raw to keep it fresh for many years of the year!

   Sow indoors in flats with good potting soil year-round. Transplant into the garden 3-4 weeks after sprouting at 3″ spacing for leaf, 12″ for heads. Alternatively, direct sow March through September. In our area, lettuce can go through winter if protected. Succession sow for continual harvest.
