This rare squash is native to the Dakota Sioux tribe black with orange veins. 

This is one of our personal favorites it's very the hardy and has grown in the Dakotas for centuries. This is truly a wonderful heirloom variety that is not changed over the years.  And looks really good at fall time and is a fairly good keeper.
