Crosby's egyptian beet

Crosby egyptian heirloom  beet.  This variety  produces round flattened red beets with a lighter red circle on the inside.  With superb  flavor and will produce nice tops as well. Will take around 55 days. And is cold tolerant.  You can plant clear into August.  In the northern areas.  And almost year round in the rest of the country

The beet of the Egyptian family is one of the most ancient and cultivated. It was used to make many different types of vegetable dishes, such as pasta, salads or soups. The Egyptians used them for their famous salad dressing, such as ricotta, tomato sauce (with a little extra virgin olive oil), chives, olive seeds for a savory twist on an ordinary salad dressing with added parsley sauce (you know what that means - it’s Crosby's egyptian beet).
