Hello all! This Heirloom is more than likely the best tomato flavor out of all the Heirlooms. It has a dusty purple red color. They average 10 to 12 ounces per tomato and only take 70 or 80 days to mature--which is fast for a tomato of its size. The Cherokee Purple is also an indeterminate, which means you will be picking tomatoes all summer long. One pack is enough for the home gardener; they contain around 50 seeds. A one gram size contains around 400 seeds. These don't need to be staked. They will grow 2 or 3 feet. Happy growing!!!
Here's a tip. Tomatoes won't set fruit above 90 degrees the heat kills the blossoms.
