Celtuce is a stalky lettuce from. China mainly grown for the stalks which are eaten raw or stir fried the leafs are a bit bitter and sweet at the same time 

This variety of celtuce  is non gmo open pollinated 

  And is  rare and.   Hard to find. Burpee had it in there seed catalog in the 70s. Will do great at farmers markets.  And will grow in just about any zone
