This is a musk melon and a nice producer. The Casaba has a yellow rind with its flesh similar to a honeydew. They grow kind of quick. You definitely want to treat this one as a main season crop because, as with most melons, they are not cold tolerant at all. The Casaba will do great in shorter growing season areas; for a large melon it matures faster than other melons its size at harvest.
