The bloody butcher corn is a classic forgotten heirloom variety the Amish use this variety for green chop for livestock feed you will get more yield than from the commercial varieties.
The stalks themselves are very striking with red and purple in them. Nice thick stalks great for running pole beans up they get easy 10 to 12 feet tall. Will have anywhere from 2 to 7. Ears on them

The ears themselves are red with dark red kernels
8 to 14 inches long. This variety will make great corn meal.
