Alaska pea

Alaska.  Heirloom  pea.  Is one of cold hardest of all the peas.    Is kinda of a short pea.  Will grow 2 or 3 feet.  And will be loaded with  plump pea pods in about 50 days or so.   To our northern  gardener friends.  You can get about 3 crops in a year from these cause they are so cold tolerant.  

Alaskan Peas are great for salads and soups. They are easy to grow in the soil or used as vegetables during summertime, and can be eaten fresh in salads as well! Alappie is a tender green that can also be used as an ingredient in salads too.

  This variety harvests a little easier cause the pods are slightly bigger.
