Collection: Green beans

Green beans are a garden favorite we have all kinds.   We recommend about 4 oz of seed for each family member about 1 pound for each market you sell at.

Green Beans are warm time of year seed as they need to be planted once the soil has warmed. They need to be planted at least ½ an inch into the soil.
For spacing you can use, ideally 4inch spaces between seeds and for rows, you need double rows with at least 2 foot spacing between rows.
A good rule of thumb when planting green beans would be to plant 20 feet of row for each person who will eventually enjoy the harvest of your labour, so a family of 5 would mean 100 feet of green bean rows.
Green beans are very easy to grow which makes them the perfect seed for beginners.
Green beans do not require full sunlight, but they do need adequate water.
Green beans can be planted to compliment corn, all squash & pumpkin seeds well and can be inter-cropped.
**Please Note depending on your usage; i.e. canning or eating fresh or for market stalls, you need a determinate variety, for any other use other than the above, you need a variety that is indeterminate**
