Collection: Brussel sprouts

Brussel sprouts are kinda fun to watch grow they look like mini cabbages on the stock. Start the transplants around April. And you will harvesting around mid September   Brussel sprouts are cold tolerant so feel to plant at different times

This is a must for csa boxes and farmers market growers

Brussel Sprouts  is cold tolerant which means Brussel sprouts   will germinate in cooler weather.
Brussel sprouts are  a good seed for blanket seeding, so it's okay to plant them close together because they're not fussy about having their roots messed with.
When it comes planting, cabbage seeds need to be planted at least 1/4 of an inch into the soil and you can expect germination in 5-7 days.

Here's a tip.  We don't harvest any of our Brussel sprouts  until. The cool fall weather arrives. It will take any bitterness out of them your customers will thank you

For our homesteading friends. These can store for months. Chop them down break the leaves off.  Hang them in a cool dry place.   Leaving them attached to stalk

If you want to freeze some take them off the stalks

And slightly boil them drain all the water and put into freezer bags.
