Why Using Chemicals In Your Garden Is A Bad Idea

Hey Guys,
I hope everyone is doing well.

Recently on this blog, we've been talking about natural methods of pest control which won't harm your garden.
So for today, I just wanted to talk a little about why using chemicals in your garden really is a bad idea.

Before we dive right in, I just want to make it clear that I'm not here to judge how anyone choses to tend to their garden. It's a personal choice how you want your garden to be, it's totally up to you. I'm here to share my own thoughts and opinions on things that are important to me and if my words inspire even just one person along the way.... even better!

So why is using chemicals in your garden a bad idea?

Well first and foremost, I have to admit that traditional chemicals such as weed killers and pesticides are known for their quick and  effective results with minimal effort on behalf of the gardener, but in my opinion, it's not worth the risk.

Mainly because weed-killers and pesticides are known to have massive detrimental effects on the environment, yes they're good for killing the weeds in your garden but they're also responsible for killing other life forms... such as insects, bees, and other pollinators, and even in the worst case scenario... pets have also fallen victim when pesticides and weed-killers have been used in the garden.

So....

Ask yourself this, next time you want quick and easy results in your garden, is it worth the risk of causing so much harm to other life forms?

The answer is, in my opinion, not really when there are so many more natural, less harmful ways to remove weeds and anything unwanted in your garden, using methods that are harmful to the environment just isn't worth it. Yes using many more natural methods take more time and effort, but future generations will thank you for caring about the big blue marble we call home.

Thank you for reading,
Until next time,
Kim
