Why Is Sustainable Gardening So Important

Hey Guys,
I hope everyone is doing well.

For today, I just wanted to talk a little abut why sustainable gardening is so important.

Sustainability is something that we should all play our part in. We've taken so so much from the big blue marble that we call our home over the years, and the truth is.... we cannot continue to take, take take without giving something back.
This big blue marble is the only home that we have and we all have our responsibility to make our home a better place.

We don't have to make massive changes all at once, doing too much all at once can become too overwhelming and when things get overwhelming, it's easy to just give up... but stick with it! Start small! Even the smallest change can lead to bigger changes and once you start seeing the effects of making your garden more sustainable... I can guarantee that it will encourage you to keep going....

So why is sustainable gardening so important?

Sustainable gardening practices help the environment by conserving water, reducing soil erosion and promoting biodiversity.

Gardening can make you feel more peaceful and content.
We have to take into consideration that the benefits of being in your garden does a lot for the environment, it also has many many benefits for your mental health (This is something we will take another look at in another blog post).

Sustainable gardening encourages biodiversity and a way to do this is to plant wildflower beds and native plant species can be another way to encourage biodiversity in your garden.

This is just a quick look at why sustainability in your garden is so important.
Sustainability is going to be a major theme of this blog in the future because this is something that I truly believe in.

Thank you for reading,
Until next time.
Kim
