The Drawbacks of Sustainable Gardening
Share

Hey Guys,
I hope everyone is doing well.
As promised, for today we're going to be looking at some of the drawbacks of making the switch to more sustainable methods of gardening.
So far in this blog, we've talked a lot about the positives of making the switch, but I want to give you guys all the information necessary to be informed about your choices and that includes looking at the downsides.
So let's dive right in:
1: Sustainable Methods Take More Time- I'm going to make this point very clear right now: Sustainable gardening methods do take a lot more time than traditional gardening methods. Time is not a luxury many of us can afford these days. It's no secret by now that all of us are looking for ways to get things done more time-efficiently, but yet again, more eco-friendly, sustainable gardening methods takes more time.
For example, if you weed your garden by hand rather than using chemical weed killers, it will take longer.
Same applies when choosing to do things by hand rather than electric power tools or chemicals in your garden.
2: Sustainable Gardening Methods Can Mean More Work- This point ties in well with the more time-consuming aspect of sustainable gardening methods, not only can it be more time-consuming it can also be more labour-intensive. Hand-weeding your whole garden is harder work than simply spraying chemical weed killers.
Hold on!
Before you give up and click away from this blog post... hear me out for a second!
Yes it's true it can be more work than traditional methods, but it's also a healthy workout which is very good for your health.
You're getting exercise and you're helping to save the world... What could be better?
Also as another plus point, making the switch to more sustainable methods of gardening does mean more time and harder work, but you can always get other people involved and helping each other out.

I guess what I'm trying to say here is that making the switch to more sustainable methods of gardening can be a great activity for bringing the whole family together and togetherness is a luxury all of us need a little more of right now.
Making the switch to sustainable gardening methods is well worth the effort!
Thank you for reading,
Until Next Time.
