The Benefits Of Sustainable Gardening (Part One)

Hey Guys,
I hope everyone is doing well.

First off, I'd like to apologise for the lack of updates on this blog recently. Sometimes life gets in the way of my regular posting schedule, but I'm going to do my best to get back to some form of regular posting schedule.

We're taking a deeper look into the benefits of making your garden a more sustainable place.

Sustainability and approaching life in as much of an eco-friendly way is really important to me, it's at the very heart of what I want to do here at Farm Hand Seeds, and as an aspiring homesteader, I want to eventually make all aspects of my life and my homestead as sustainable and eco-friendly as possible. Hopefully inspiring many others to do the same along the way.

So let's dive right in to some of the many benefits of sustainable gardening:

Right off the bat, I'd like to say that one of the biggest benefits of using a more sustainable approach to gardening is that this approach lowers the impact, especially the negative impacts on the environment such as lowering carbon emissions and it also saves you money in the long run. The natural world all around us needs a lot of help right now, and all of us can play our part, even the smallest step towards a more sustainable ways of living really can go a long way. EVERY SMALL STEP COUNTS.

A sustainable garden preserves the biological variety of native plants and wildlife. When we change to a more sustainable method of gardening, it's possible to retain some wild spots, such as wildflower meadows, old logs and leaf mounds. We need to make our gardens as natural as possible because not only do we as people benefit from it, the wildlife all around us benefits too.

Wildlife benefits immensely from a more natural, sustainable garden, when we plant for pollinators, we are helping the eco-system in our gardens to thrive. Nature needs a helping hand.

Another major benefit, not just for sustainable garden, but for gardening in general is growing your own food.
This gives you and your family the healthiest food possible and it's another major way to save money. I'm going to be taking another deeper look into the benefits of growing your own food in a later post, so keep your eyes out for that one.

There's going to be a second half to this post which all being well, should be published tomorrow.
Thank you for reading.
Until next time,
Kim
