Seed Growing Journey: Purple Peppers Day One

So every journey begins with a single step…

For my first seed growing  project I set myself with a slightly ambitious task of growing lilac peppers.

But who doesn’t love a challenge?

Coming from the UK, I wasn’t even aware that purple peppers existed which only adds to the excitement of growing them myself, I’ve never grown, seen or tasted them before so I’m really hoping this project is a success.

Over here the pepper colours are the usual, red, yellow, green and orange so having a purple pepper really is a rare treat and something completely new.

Words can’t justify the excitement I felt when it came to starting my own seed growing project, it’s a reminder of my childhood and many memories came flooding back at the thought of trying something out for myself that I’d watched my grandpa do so many times during my childhood, the happiness that comes with getting a little messy, it’s about connecting with the work that lies ahead, the joy, the anticipation, the hope and excitement were all really palpable emotions….

I’ll write up a separate blog post on the equipment and methods I used to start this journey so if anyone else would like to try it out for themselves, I’ll leave a guide to get you started.
