How To Create A Child-Friendly Flower Garden

Hey Guys,
I hope everyone is doing well.

For today, I just wanted to talk a little and share some ideas on how to create a child-friendly flower garden.
There's many reasons why getting children involved in gardening and this truly is a great idea. Kids have endless energy, so spending time outdoors is a great way for kids to have a bit of fun and burn off some of their energy. Getting kids involved also teaches them a sense of responsibility, opening them up to a whole new world.

Getting children involved in gardening from an early age also teaches children how to nurture a relationship with nature. We all have a responsibility to become stewards of this big blue marble and the earlier we start bringing children involved the better.

Flowers are easy to grow so they're a perfect starting point for getting little ones involved.

Give a young child a trowel and they will love digging holes in the garden, I mean, what child doesn't enjoy playing in the dirt and having a little fun whilst getting their hands dirty, all the while learning new skills?
So why not try encouraging your children to help dig up some weeds to get the garden ready for planting?

Getting children involved right from the very start helps build up a sense of excitement, all the while getting them involved in the process early on helps them feel included, so why not let their little imaginations run wild? Let them choose their own flowers that they want to grow, providing that they're flowers that are suitable to grow in your area because the last thing you want for your kids is for them to get discouraged when they flowers they've been looking forward to don't grow.

This is the beginning of a series of blog posts talking about this subject.
So keep an eye out for what's coming next.

Thank you for reading,
Until next time,
Kim
