Easy Annual Flowers You Can Grow From Seed (Part Two)

Hey Guys,
I hope everyone is doing well.

This post follows on from the first post (feel free to take a look before reading any further) all about easy annual flowers you can grow from seed.

So let's dive right in once again into the fragrant world of flowers:

1: Nasturtium- These flowers have a spicy fragrance and the bloom in shades of yellow, orange, red and crimson. Nasturtium seeds have a tough coat so it's best to soak these seeds in water for at least 12-24 hours before you're ready to plant outside.
2: Zinnia- Offering a wide range of flower colours and forms as well as height, zinnia is a classic choice for gardeners. Zinnia is so fast growing and extremely easy to grow. The best method to plant these seeds is to sow directly in the ground at around one eight of an inch deep into the soil.
There's also the additional method if you want these flowers to bloom earlier in the season, you can also start these seeds indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost date.
3: Calendula- Calendula is grown for its aromatic daisy or chrysanthemum-like yellow to deep orange flowers.
Start planting calendula seeds indoors six to eight weeks before the last frost date or plant them directly into the harden right before the last frost date.
4: Four O'clock Flowers- Four o'clock flowers truly are special because they only bloom at 4pm in the afternoon and close up again the following morning. These flowers bloom in shades of pink, rose, red, magenta, yellow and white.
Plant the seeds directly in the garden after the last frost date or as an alternative, you can also start the seeds indoors 6-8 weeks earlier.

I have to admit it's been a whole lot of fun exploring the magical world of flowers and sharing my knowledge with you guys.

If anyone else has any recommendations that are not included in this list, feel free to let me know.

Thank you for reading,
Until next time,
Kim
